I’ve been in IT for over 2 decades… okay almost 3… and I typically focus on voice solutions, Office 365, and security. Far from a one-trick pony, I’ve wrangled Exchange, AD/Azure AD, networking, and the odd bit of Azure. I possess an irrational exuberance for Teams that some may say is unhealthy, but I think they’re just jealous. I’ve been recognized by Microsoft as an MVP since 2017.
Way back when, I obtained a BSc in Computer Science and Earth Observational Science from Royal Roads Military College. My certifications that I feel are still meaningful include Microsoft Certified Solutions Master: Communications, various Microsoft certs in Teams and O365 areas like security, Fortinet NSE7, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
I’m a founder/coordinator/presenter at the British Columbia Unified Communications User Group, and at the British Columbia Interior Microsoft User Group. I’m a blogger at blog.bumpinthe.net, and an occasional tweeter @Bumpinthenet. I live in Kamloops, British Columbia. Outside of work I’m active at the local Makerspace, race BMX, and try to keep up with whatever craziness my kids are up to.
