I’ve been in IT for over 2 decades… okay 2 1/2… and I typically focus on voice solutions, Office 365, and security. Far from a one-trick pony, I’ve wrangled Exchange, AD/Azure AD, networking, and the odd bit of Azure. I possess an irrational exuberance for Teams that some may say is unhealthy, but I think they’re just jealous. I’ve been recognized by Microsoft as an MVP since 2017.
Way back when, I obtained a BSc in Computer Science and Earth Observational Science from Royal Roads Military College. My certifications that I feel are still meaningful include Microsoft Certified Solutions Master: Communications, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Fortinet NSE, Cisco Certified Networking Professional, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
I’m a founder/coordinator/presenter at the British Columbia Unified Communications User Group, and at the British Columbia Interior Microsoft User Group. I’m an active blogger at blog.bumpinthe.net, and an occasional tweeter @Bumpinthenet. I live in Kamloops, British Columbia with my wife, our son and daughter, and too many cats. Outside of work I’m active at the local Makerspace, and whatever craziness my kids are up to.
